EU-Japan summit : New impetus to trade talks ?

Europeans hope that the EU-Japan summit, taking place on 6-7 May in Brussels with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, will give the ongoing trade negotiations a new impetus. “It is likely that both parties are going to reaffirm their desire to reach a meaningful agreement” even if they do not go into technical details, say European diplomatic sources.
