The European Commission approved, on 29 April, the acquisition of American chemical company DuPont's (glass laminating solutions/vinyls - GLSV) business by the Japanese company Kuraray. The company is expected to give up its PVB film production facility for laminated safety glass in Uentrop, Germany.
