Recent confrontations between a heavily armed group and police officers in the city of Kumanovo in the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia have resulted in the death of at least 22 people, including eight policemen, according to the spokesperson of the country’s Interior Ministry, Ivo Kotevski.
