With Corina Cretu leaving Parliament for the European Commission, the EP has to elect a new vice-president. Romanian member Ioan Mircea Pascu looks set to be elected by fellow MEPs on 12 November. Other members have until 19:00 on 10 November to declare their candidacy. Pascu, who has sat in the EP since 2005, is a member of the Committee on Foreign Affairs (AFET) and an alternate member of the Committee on Transport (TRAN). If elected, he will take over…
