New regulation on F-gases

A new regulation allowing fluorinated greenhouse gas (F-gas) emissions in the EU to be reduced by two thirds of their current level by 2030 was officially adopted by the Council, on 14 April. It limits the use of these gases in new equipment, such as refrigerators and air-conditioning units and bans its use if viable, more eco-friendly replacements are easily available.
