The figures speak for themselves; more than one in six pilots in Europe is employed under an 'atypical contract', meaning they are false independents, employed through temporary agencies under 'zero hours' contracts (meaning only flight hours are paid), and 'pay-to-fly' contracts (where pilots must 'buy' flight hours, pay for training, etc).
