The next few weeks look set to be decisive in the Norwegian Air International (NAI) dossier: on 2 September, the American authorities refused to grant the company a licence to launch the first transatlantic budget airline, and the European Commission must now take a position. Brussels has said the US' decision contradicts the Open Sky agreement between the EU and the United States. The Commission and member states should discuss the matter in mid-January 2015.
