Quentin Ariès
Reporter in Brussels since 2014, I was from 2022 to 2025 Editor-in-Chief of Sphera, a network of 10 European independent media launched by the former magazine Cafébabel and now coordinated by Médianes.
I started to report on European affairs at Politico Europe (and its predecessor European). I was then from 2018 to 2022 a contributing reporter at The Washington Post while collaborating with publications including NewsTank, The Atlantic, Médiapart ... and Contexte where I reported mostly on Brexit and the rule of law.
A 2019 runner-up of the Fetisov International Journalism Award for an investigation on media capture in Hungary, I was also part of the team of the podcast "My Question to Angela Merkel", 2021 winner of the Louise Weiss Prize by AJE France. Graduated from the Universty of Kent (United-Kingdom) and Science Po Grenoble (France), I am also a guest lecturer in various journalism schools in France and Belgium.
