Contexte is publishing drafts of the European Grids Package, which the Commission is due to adopt on 10 December. It includes measures to give the European Commission greater control over planning, to prioritise eight “energy highways” intended to progress critical infrastructure, and to streamline permitting rules to simplify and accelerate permitting procedures for grid infrastructure.
