Belgium fears blackouts this winter

The shutdown of several power plants means there is a risk of blackouts this winter, but also during the winter of 2015-2016, stated the Belgian electricity grid manager Elia, on 4 July.  Elia believes that the strategic reserve set up by the Belgian government will not be enough to compensate for the decrease in production.
