Swedish MEP Amelia Andersdotter has been elected president of the all-new European Pirate Party during its founding conference, on 21 March in Brussels. Andersdotter became an MEP in 2011, following the entry into force of the Lisbon Treaty, which granted Sweden more seats in the European Parliament. Andersdotter is the Green group's spokesperson on digital matters, and at 26, she is also one of the youngest MEPs.
