The French, Italians, Japanese and Americans are among the most trade-sceptic nations, a survey of 44 world nations done by the Washington-based Pew Research Center has found. 52% of Italians, 47% of French, 45% of Americans and 37% of Japanese felt international trade undermined domestic incomes. By contrast, only 12% of Chinese, 17% of British, 21% of Poles, 23% of Indians and 31% of Germans believed this.
