Back to square one for circular economy

It was one of the flagship strategies of the previous European Commission, the landing point for a series of communications and initiatives meant to make the EU more effective in its use of resources. The goal was to give it fresh economic impetus as well, with the creation of non-relocatable jobs, less dependence on imported raw materials and lower production costs.
