Apart from French national Moscovici, who could replace Michel Barnier (internal market) at the Commission, three outgoing commissioners are virtually assured of serving another term at the Commission. Slovakia's Maroš Šefčovič (interinstitutional relations and administration) has a good chance of being reappointed, as does Croatia's Neven Mimica (consumer protection), the newest commissioner, named in July 2013 when Croatia became a member of the EU.
