The relentless decline in support for the European Union in recent years may have turned, according to an influential poll, released on 13 May, just days before the European elections. Conducted by the non-partisan American fact tank Pew Research Center, it found that there is increased favour for the EU in France, the UK and Germany. In addition, faith in the benefits of economic integration is also on the rise in the UK, Poland and Germany.
