As of 1 February, European farmers will be able to sell their certified processed organic products in South Korea without a separate certification procedure, the European Commission said on 27 January. The same rule would apply to processed organic products certified in South Korea. The so-called equivalence arrangement agreed with the South Korean authorities would significantly reduce the administrative burden, including additional fees, inspections and paperwork that have been shouldered until now by organic producers, the Commission said.
