Hong Kong port promotes itself as EU’s « springboard » to China

Hong Kong, China's special administrative region, used 'Posidonia 2014', one of the largest and most prestigious maritime exhibitions internationall y that is held in Athens between 2 and 6 June, to promote its expanding port as a "springboard" to mainland China for European companies. Hong Kong's container port is the fourth largest in the world, with 4.1 million tonnes of cargo handled in 2013. No customs duties (except for liquors) or VAT are levied at the port.
