I joined Contexte in 2025 as an adaptation editor for the Energy team, to mark the launch of the publication's first English-language EU edition. Prior to joining, I freelanced as policy and investigative journalist, covering issues ranging from health and space policies to global conflict and diplomacy.

The bulk of my reporting has focused on EU agri-food and environmental policies and, more recently, on the booming food biotechnologies sector.

I began reporting on the EU at Politico Europe, initally covering breaking news and then moving into EU agri-food policy. Other past experiences include stints as a United Nations reporter, a wire translator for the AFP and a local reporter covering Belgium.

A multi-billion-euro deal to build two nuclear reactors in southern Czechia, frozen by a Brno court after South Korea’s KHNP outbid EDF, is having significant political consequences. Czech ministers have accused the French state-owned energy company of meddling in their domestic politics in an election year; the involvement as an EU arbiter of Stéphane Séjourné, France’s commissioner in Brussels, has obliged him to deny accusations of national bias. The prospect of an escalating row with Prague has led even some officials in Paris to think the affair might have gone too far, and that EDF might end up being asked to rein itself in.
