Cautious optimism has given way to growing pessimism as hopes for a long-awaited deal between Greece and its international lenders were fading fast on 24 June. In absence of an agreement between Athens and its international creditors, the Eurogroup members adjourned their scheduled session and decided to meet again at 13:00 on 25 June, just before the opening of the EU summit.
