Finland has been invited to join the Baltic states as a shareholder in the consortium that will implement the Rail Baltica project, the railway between Tallinn (Estonia) and Warsaw (Poland). The invitation was issued by the Latvian transport minister, on 28 January in Helsinki. Latvia, which will host the company's headquarters, has promised to detail the proposal in writing.
