The European Parliament and the Council reached an agreement late on 17 June on the technical aspects of the EU's fourth rail reform package. At this stage, it is an 'informal' agreement, and must still be approved by the Committee of Permanent Representatives (Coreper) on 24 June and also by Parliament’s Committee on Transport (TRAN) and its plenary.
